Canadarm

Okay kiddo, do you remember watching those astronaut movies where they are working in space and they have this really cool robotic arm that helps them out? Canada has a robotic arm too, called Canadarm!

Canadarm is a big and super strong arm that can pick up really heavy stuff in space, like other spacecraft or satellites. It has six sections that can bend, just like our elbows, so it can move around easily. And the best part is that it can be controlled by people on Earth while it's in space!

So, if an astronaut needs to grab something that's too far away, too heavy, or too dangerous, they can use Canadarm to help out. It's kind of like having a super strong helper with really long reach to lend a hand when things get tough.

And guess what? Canadarm has been helping astronauts on the International Space Station for over thirty years! It's become an important tool for space exploration and has helped us learn a lot about space.
