Cancer research

Cancer research is a type of research scientists do to try and understand and find solutions to cancer, which is a disease in humans and animals where cells in different parts of the body start to grow in an uncontrolled way. Scientists look at how cancer forms, how it spreads, how to diagnose it and how to treat it. They are trying to find ways to prevent it, and to find better treatments and cures.
