Canopy conductance

Canopy conductance is a big word that means how well plants breathe. Just like how we need air to breathe in and out, plants also need to take in air through their leaves for food to make energy. Canopy conductance measures how easily this air moves through the plant's leaves. It's like when you blow up a balloon, air can move in and out very easily, but when you pinch the neck of the balloon, it becomes harder for the air to escape. Canopy conductance is like the neck of the balloon, it measures how much air can move in and out of the plant's leaves. This is important because if the plants can't get enough air, they won't be able to make enough energy to grow and stay healthy.
