The Cantor Set is a famous set of numbers that is made by taking some of the numbers away from a group. It starts out with a group of all the numbers between 0 and 1. Then, it takes away the middle third of all the numbers. So, if you think of the numbers like slices of a pizza, it takes away the middle slice of the pizza. Then, it takes away the middle third of whatever numbers are left, which means it takes away the "middle slice of the middle slice". It keeps doing this forever, taking away the middle third of the numbers that are still left. Eventually, only a few numbers are left, and that's the Cantor Set!
