Canvas ceiling

A canvas ceiling is a very large piece of cloth that goes over your head to keep you dry or to make a cool place to hang out outside. It's like a big umbrella that goes over your whole body! People use canvas ceilings when they want to be outside but it is too sunny or when it might rain. The canvas is supported by things called poles that keep it high up in the air. It is like when you put a piece of fabric over a chair to make a small tent, but much, much bigger!
