ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Capital market

Capital markets are places where people can buy and sell things like stocks, bonds, and other investments. It's like a big marketplace where you can buy and sell investments. When you buy an investment, it's like buying a piece of a company, a bond, or an insurance policy - you're putting money into something so that you can gain money from it in the future. When you sell an investment, you get back the money you put in and hopefully make a profit.
