Captaincy

Captaincy is when one person is chosen to be the leader of a group. Think of it like being the leader of your play group at school. The captain is responsible for making important decisions and leading the group in the right direction. They have to be a good communicator, a role model, and make sure everyone is working together nicely. Just like the play group leader, a captain of a sports team has to be a good listener, know how to encourage their teammates, and make sure everyone is following the rules. The captain also gets to wear a special badge or armband to show that they are in charge. So, being a captain is a big responsibility, but it also means you get to help lead your team to victory!
