Our heart is like a pump that helps to move blood to different parts of our body. It works harder when we exercise or do any kind of physical activity. Cardiovascular drift is when the heart works harder for a long time during exercise or physical activity, and our heart rate and the amount of blood coming out of it starts to increase slowly over time. This is because our body gets tired and we start to lose fluid and electrolytes from our body through sweat. When we lose fluid and electrolytes, our body has to work harder to keep up with the demands of the activity we're doing. So, cardiovascular drift is basically when our heart works harder for a long period of time, because our body is tired and we're losing fluids and electrolytes.
