Care Standards Act 2000

The Care Standards Act 2000 is a law that helps protect people using services such as care homes, childcare, or health services. It makes sure people get the best care possible by setting standards for how people in those services must act. This can include standards for cleanliness, safety, and education. The law also sets out rules for how managers of these services have to treat people, like giving them respect, offering them support, and making sure their needs are met. If a service doesn't follow the standards, then they can be taken to court.
