ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Carl Sagan

Carl Sagan was a very smart man who liked to learn about the world around us. He was really good at explaining complicated ideas in a way that even kids could understand. He loved science and astronomy, which is the study of stars, planets and other space stuff.

He was so good at explaining science that he became really famous for his TV show "Cosmos." In the show, he talked about planets, the universe, and how everything fits together. He made science fun and interesting for lots of people who might not have liked it before.

Carl Sagan also wrote books about science, like "The Demon-Haunted World" and "Contact." He wanted people to understand that science wasn't just for really smart people and that everybody could understand it.

Even though Carl Sagan passed away in 1996, people still remember him and his love for science. He taught us that the more we know about the universe, the more amazing it becomes.
