Carnegie Hero Fund

Okay kiddo, have you ever heard of a hero? Someone who does something really brave and saves other people? Well, there is a special fund called the Carnegie Hero Fund that gives awards to people who are heroes.

The Carnegie Hero Fund was started by a man named Andrew Carnegie a long time ago. He was a very rich and successful businessman who wanted to do something good for people. So, he decided to create a fund that would reward people who risked their lives to save others.

Now, this fund still exists today and people who are nominated for the award have to meet certain criteria. They have to have gone above and beyond to help someone else who was in danger, and their actions have to be shown to be heroic.

If a person meets all of these requirements, they will be given a special medal and some money to help them out. And, it's not just for adults, even kids can be heroes and get rewarded.

Overall, the Carnegie Hero Fund is a way to say thank you to all of the people who put themselves in harm's way to save someone else. It's a really special thing and it shows us that even in the worst situations, there are people who will step up and be heroes.
