Hey kiddo, do you know what carpentry is? It's actually a fancy word for woodworking!

So, carpentry is using tools like hammers, saws, and nails to create something out of wood. Think of it like building a puzzle, but instead of using pieces that fit together, we use pieces of wood that we cut and shape to create things like chairs, tables, and even buildings!

To start carpentry, we need to have some basic tools. For example, a saw helps us cut the wood into different shapes and sizes, while a hammer helps us hammer nails into the wood to hold it together. We also use measuring tools like rulers and levels to make sure everything we create is just the right size and straight.

Once we have our tools ready, we can start building! We can follow instructions or make something up as we go, it's up to us. And when we're done, we have something we made with our own hands that we can be proud of!

Carpentry can be used to build lots of things, from a small birdhouse in the backyard to a huge skyscraper in the city. It takes practice and patience, but it's really fun to see what we can create!
