Carroballista

Okay kiddo, a carroballista is a really old weapon that was used back in ancient times by the Romans. It was like a big machine that worked like a big crossbow, but it was even stronger and could shoot really big arrows really far away.

Imagine a giant slingshot with a big wooden arm that had a string tied to it that could launch arrows like they were flying really fast! The people who used it would pull the string back with their hands or with a special lever and then let go, sending the arrow flying.

The carroballista was really important for battles because it could shoot arrows really far and fast, which meant it could help protect the soldiers from far away. It could also shoot big arrows that could break through walls and other things that might be protecting the enemy.

So, basically, the carroballista was a really strong machine that shot big arrows and helped protect soldiers during battles a really long time ago.
