Carter Malkasian

Carter Malkasian is a person. He is someone who knows a lot about Afghanistan, which is a country on the other side of the world where people speak a language called Pashto and there are lots of mountains. Malkasian used to work for the U.S. government, which is a group of people who make important decisions for our country. He got to visit Afghanistan and talk to the people who live there to learn about their culture and history. Malkasian even wrote a book about his experiences and what he learned. Basically, he's a smart person who knows a lot about a place called Afghanistan.
