Carthusian

Carthusians are members of a religious order, or a group of people devoted to a religious way of life. They follow strict rules and devote themselves to prayer, reflection and living in community. They live in communities called charterhouses, which are made up of small houses or even individual cells for each member. They often grow their own food, rarely speak to anyone outside the order, and spend a lot of time in silence and solitude.
