Cartographic propaganda is when a map or other kind of chart is created to make a point, or persuade people. It is a way of showing information in a visual way to make it easier for people to understand and support a message or belief. For example, a map may be used to show how much better a country is doing compared to its competitors or how much bigger it is than another country. The map will show the facts but it often uses symbols, colors, and other design elements to put an emphasis on those facts to persuade people to agree.
