Cartoon

Okay kiddo, have you ever seen a drawing that looks like a person, but it's silly or funny or exaggerated? That's called a cartoon!

Cartoons are usually made up of simple shapes and bright colors, so they're easy to look at and understand. They can be funny or serious, but they usually tell a story or have a message.

People make cartoons for lots of different reasons. Sometimes they're just for fun, like comic strips in the newspaper that make people laugh. Other times, cartoons are used to teach kids important things, like how to be safe or how to be a good friend.

Cartoons can be made by drawing them by hand with pencils or markers, or they can be made on a computer using special programs. It takes a lot of practice and skill to make a really good cartoon, but anyone can try! Maybe you can start by drawing your own funny characters and see where your imagination takes you!
