ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Case competition

Have you ever played a game where you have to solve a mystery or a puzzle? Well, a case competition is just like that, but instead of a game, it's a competition where you and your team try to solve a real-life problem faced by a company or organization, like making a new product or solving a business problem.

First, you and your team get a case - this is a whole bunch of information about the problem the company is facing. You have to read it all carefully and use your thinking skills to figure out what's important and what's not.

Then, you and your team brainstorm different solutions and try to come up with the best one. You might talk to other people for advice or do research on the internet.

Finally, you and your team present your solution to a panel of judges. You have to explain why your solution is the best one and how it will help the company. The judges will ask you questions and then decide which team had the best solution.

So, a case competition is like a big puzzle or mystery that you and your team work to solve, and then you get to show off your thinking skills and creativity to try and win a competition!
