Cash drawer

A cash drawer is like a special box where a store or business keeps their money safe. It's usually found at the checkout counter where you pay for your items or services.

When someone buys something, the person working at the store will ring up the cost on a machine called a cash register. Then, the person will open the cash drawer so they can give change or put in the money from the sale.

The cash drawer has different compartments for each kind of bill and coin, kind of like a treasure chest. The person working at the store will need to make sure they put the right amount of money in the right compartment so they can quickly and easily give change to customers.

At the end of the day, the cash drawer will need to be counted to make sure the store made the right amount of money. The cash drawer is an important tool for businesses to help keep their money safe and organized.
