Castles in Poland

Have you ever seen a really big, strong building that looks like it's straight out of a fairy tale? Well, that's what a castle looks like! In Poland, there are many castles that are very special and historic.

Castles were built a long, long time ago when there were queens and kings who ruled over countries. The castles were used to protect the people inside from enemies who wanted to take over the kingdom. The walls of the castle were very thick and the doors were very heavy so that nobody could come in without permission.

In Poland, there are many castles that were built hundreds of years ago. Some of them, like the Wawel Castle in Krakow, were built for important kings and queens to live in. Others, like the Malbork Castle, were built to protect the people from invaders.

The Wawel Castle is very special because it's where many important events happened in Poland's history. Some kings and queens were crowned there and it was even the home of a dragon in some legends! The castle is also very pretty, with lots of towers and turrets that stick out of the walls.

The Malbork Castle is one of the biggest castles in the world! It's special because it was built by a group called the Teutonic Knights who came from Germany to defend Poland from invaders. They lived there for many years and it was also used as a prison.

Overall, the castles in Poland are very important because they remind us of our history and how people used to live a long time ago. They are also very beautiful and fun to visit!
