Catherine of Alexandria was a famous female saint who lived around the year 300 A.D. She was known for her wisdom and intelligence, and she wanted to be a philosopher and become educated. She was also known for standing up for her Christian faith and resisting the Roman Emperor Maxentius, who wanted her to worship false gods and renounce Christianity. She was eventually put to death for her beliefs. Today, Catherine of Alexandria is remembered as a patron saint of students, philosophers and wise people.
