So, you know how in Catholic churches they have statues of Mary, the mother of Jesus? Well, sometimes they have special churches just for her! These are called Marian churches.
They usually have really pretty artwork and decorations, and lots of people come to pray and worship there. People believe that Mary is very important, so they want to have a special place to honor her.
It's kind of like having a special room in your house just for your favorite toy or stuffed animal. Except in this case, it's a whole building for Mary!
