Cattell–Horn–Carroll Theory is a way of thinking about how people learn and develop. It's a way of understanding the different skills that people need to have in order to do well in different kinds of learning. It suggests that people have different kinds of abilities or 'intelligences' that help them understand different kinds of tasks. For example, some people may have a lot of 'logical-mathematical' intelligence, which means they do well with tasks involving numbers, problem-solving and logical thinking. Others may have more 'linguistic' or 'verbal' intelligence, which makes them better at understanding and using language. The Cattell–Horn–Carroll Theory helps teachers and parents understand which skills a person has and how to help them develop those skills.
