ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Causal plane

Okay, so imagine that you're playing with toy cars. You have different kinds of cars: some are big and heavy, and some are small and light. When you put one of your big cars on the floor and push it, it moves forward really far because it has a lot of weight behind it. But when you put one of your small cars on the floor and push it, it doesn't move as far because it doesn't have as much weight behind it.

Now let's think about people and the things that happen to them. Every time something happens to a person, it can be like pushing one of those toy cars. Sometimes, something small happens and it doesn't affect the person very much. But sometimes, something big happens and it affects the person a lot.

The causal plane is like a big chart that shows all of the things that have happened to a person over their whole life. It's like all of the different toy cars you have, and all of the different things that have pushed them. But instead of just looking at the physical things that have happened to a person, it also looks at the emotions and feelings that a person has had because of those things.

When we look at the causal plane, we can see how all of the things that have happened to a person have led to who they are now. It's like looking at all of the different toy cars and seeing how they've been pushed and played with so that you can understand why each one is different.

So when people talk about the causal plane, they're talking about this big chart that shows all of the different things that have happened to a person and how those things have affected them. It helps us understand how people become who they are and why they do the things they do.
