Causeway Bay Books disappearances
Let's pretend that you have a friend, let's call him "Bookstore". Bookstore has a special store in a place called Causeway Bay, where he sells books. But one day, he suddenly disappeared - he was gone, and nobody knew where he went or what happened to him.
Some people started to get worried and curious about what happened to him. It turns out that a group of people who make rules for the place where Bookstore's store is located didn't like some of the books that Bookstore was selling. These books talked about things that made those rule-making people unhappy or uncomfortable. So, they took Bookstore away so that he couldn't sell those books anymore.

This happened to a few other people who worked or were connected to Bookstore's store too. So now, people are talking and trying to figure out what they can do to help bring these missing people back and make sure everyone has the freedom to read and sell books they want.
