Cavalcade of Magi

Alright kiddo, do you know what a parade is? It's when people walk down the street in a big line, sometimes they dance or play instruments. Well, a cavalcade is a special kind of parade that's about something very important.

The Cavalcade of Magi is a parade that happens in some places around the world, especially in Spanish-speaking countries, on January 6th, which is a special day called Epiphany. It celebrates the day that three wise men, or magi, visited the baby Jesus in Bethlehem a long, long time ago.

In the parade, there are usually three people dressed up like magi, which means they're wearing fancy robes and crowns. They might be riding horses or camels. There are also other people in the parade, like musicians and dancers, and sometimes even people dressed up like angels.

People watching the parade might throw candy or treats to the people in the parade. It's a fun celebration and a way for people to remember the story of the three wise men who followed a star to find baby Jesus and brought him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
