Cavity wall

Okay kiddo, so imagine you have two walls in your house. The one that you can see inside your room is called the inner wall, and the one outside is called the outer wall.

Now, a cavity wall is when there is a gap or space between the inner and outer walls. It's kind of like having two walls with a little bit of air in between them.

This gap helps to keep your house warm and dry because it acts as insulation. It prevents cold air from the outside getting in and stops warm air from escaping. This is important because it helps to keep your house at a comfortable temperature and saves energy too.

Sometimes people fill this gap with special materials like insulation foam to make it even more effective at keeping the heat in.

So, that's what a cavity wall is. It's like having two walls with a little bit of space in between to keep your house cozy!
