Celebratory gunfire

So, you know how on New Year's Eve and other special occasions, people like to shoot their guns in the air? Well, that's what we call celebratory gunfire. But shooting a gun into the air isn't safe at all.

You see, when you shoot a gun, a bullet comes out really, really fast. It can fly up into the sky and then come back down at really high speeds too. In fact, it can be dangerous when a bullet falls back down because it can hurt or even kill someone.

So, even though people think they are having fun shooting their guns in the air, it's actually really dangerous and not okay. It's important to celebrate in ways that are safe for everyone around us.
