Central dense overcast

The central dense overcast happens when a big thunderstorm grows into a big circle of clouds called a hurricane. At the very center of the hurricane, it gets really dark and cloudy. This area is called the central dense overcast. It's like when you stand under a big tree and you can't see the sky because it's so dark and shady. The central dense overcast is important because it helps us know where the hurricane is and how strong it is. It can also show us how the hurricane might move in the future. Like a big dark hood over the top of a hurricane, the central dense overcast is a sign for us to be very careful and pay attention to the weather reports.
