ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Cephalocaudal trend

So, buddy, when babies are born, their heads are the biggest parts of their bodies because all their important organs like the brain and heart are inside. As they grow up, their arms and legs get longer, but their heads don't grow as much in proportion. This is called the cephalocaudal trend. It means that things that are closer to the head (cephalo) develop before things that are further down (caudal). So, your head controls everything else in your body, like your arms and legs. Kinda cool, huh?
