Ceremonial oath of the Bundeswehr

The ceremonial oath of the Bundeswehr is a big important thing, kind of like when you promise to be good or tell the truth. It's like a very special promise that soldiers in the German army make before they start their work.

So, let's say you want to be a soldier in the German army, the Bundeswehr. Before you start working as a soldier, you have to take a special oath, which means you promise to do something very important. This oath is said in front of lots of people, like your fellow soldiers, your bosses, and important leaders.

When you take the oath, you have to stand up straight and put your hand up in the air. Then, you say some very serious things. You promise to be a good and loyal soldier, to always protect Germany and its people, and to follow the rules and laws of the army. You also promise to be brave and do your best when you're working as a soldier.

The oath is very important because it shows that you are serious about being a soldier and doing your job well. It's a big responsibility, but it's also a big honor to be able to take the oath and become part of the Bundeswehr.
