Cetaceans are animals like dolphins, whales, and porpoises. They are very smart! Scientists have discovered that cetaceans can learn things, like finding their way around, controlling their environment, and recognizing each other’s unique calls (sounds). They can also solve difficult problems, remember behaviors they’ve seen, and imitate other cetaceans. Plus, they can communicate using different sounds and body language. Cetaceans are so smart that some researchers think they can even think for themselves and form relationships with each other.
