Champ (folklore)

Champ is a very big creature that some people believe lives in a very big lake called Lake Champlain. This creature looks like a big snake, but it also has a head like a horse and some people say it even has big fins like a fish! Some people who live near the lake say they have seen Champ swimming around in the water, but others think it's just a made-up story.

Some people believe Champ is a monster, but others think he's just a very rare kind of animal that hasn't been discovered yet. People have been talking about Champ for a long time - even Native American tribes that used to live near the lake had stories about a creature like Champ.

Nowadays, lots of people go to Lake Champlain with cameras and binoculars, hoping to catch a glimpse of Champ. Some people even have special boats that they use to search for him! Whether Champ is real or not, he sure is a fun story to talk about!
