Channel access method

A channel access method is a way for two devices to communicate with each other. The method decides how a sender device will get the attention of the receiver device so it can send it information. It's a bit like when you want to talk to your friend. You need to get their attention first before you can tell them something. In this case, the sender device is trying to get the receiver device's attention so it can send it information. Channel access methods make sure that two different devices know how to talk to each other and when they can send each other messages.
