Character actor

So, you know how in movies and TV shows, there are people who play different characters? Some people always play the lead role or the main character, like the hero or heroine. But there are also some people who always play the smaller, supporting roles. They are called character actors!

Character actors are sort of like chameleons - they can change how they look, talk and act to fit the character they are playing. They might have to wear special makeup, wear different clothes or act a certain way to fit the character they are playing. Sometimes they play characters who are really different from each other.

For example, one day they might play a mean, scary villain who is trying to take over the world, and the next day they might play a funny, silly sidekick who helps the hero.

The thing that makes character actors special is that they usually don't become super famous like the main characters do. But that doesn't mean they're not really talented! Some character actors are so good that you might not even recognize them from one role to the next.

So, if you see someone in a movie or TV show who always seems to play a different character, but not the main character, they might be a character actor!
