Charge (physics)

Charge is the force that makes things move or stick together. It's like a magnet, but it's invisible and made of energy. We can't see charge, but we can feel it in certain ways. For example, if you rub a balloon on your hair, it will stick to the wall or the ceiling because of charge. That's called static electricity. Things that have a lot of charge will stick together, and things with the opposite kind of charge will push each other away. That's why lightning is so powerful - the clouds have a lot of one kind of charge and the ground has the opposite kind, so they push away each other.
