ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Chase (land)

Chase on land is like playing tag, but with cars or people running after other people or things. When someone is being chased on land, they are trying to get away from the other person or car that is chasing them. Just like in a game of tag, the person running away tries to be faster or smarter than the person chasing them to avoid getting caught.

Sometimes, a chase on land happens when someone does something wrong or dangerous, like stealing something, speeding in a car, or running away from the police. The people chasing them are trying to catch them and make them stop or face the consequences of their actions.

Police officers often get involved in chases on land when they see someone doing something against the law, like speeding, driving drunk, or robbing a store. They use their cars or sometimes even helicopters to chase after the person and try to catch them.

It’s important to remember that chases on land can be dangerous for everyone involved. The person running away can get hurt if they trip or crash, and the police officers or other people chasing them can also get hurt trying to stop them. So, it’s best to always follow the rules and listen to the authorities to avoid getting chased on land.
