Cheer screening

Cheer screening is like going to the doctor for a check-up before participating in sports activities. Before you can join a cheer team, you have to go through a special check-up to make sure you are healthy enough to do all the fun cheers and stunts.

During the cheer screening, a grown-up called a doctor or a nurse will ask you some questions about your health and your family history, and then give you a physical exam. They might check your heart, your breathing, your muscles, and your bones to make sure everything is working the way it should be.

The grown-up will also ask you some questions about your cheer history and what kind of stunts and moves you have done before. This is to see if there are any stunts that might be too dangerous for you to do or if you need extra practice to do them safely.

The cheer screening is important because it helps to make sure you don't get hurt while doing cheerleading. It's like wearing a helmet while riding your bike or putting on sunscreen when you play outside. It helps to keep you safe and healthy so you can have fun doing what you love.
