Chemical bond

A chemical bond is a special connection between two or more atoms. It forms when the atoms share, or give away, some of their electrons. When that happens, each atom becomes stable. That's because the electrons help the atoms build a structure where the atoms are close together and held in place by forces of attraction. A chemical bond is just like a strong rope that keeps atoms together.
