Chicago

Chicago is a big city in the United States that lots of people live in. It's in the state of Illinois, which is right next to Lake Michigan. Chicago has lots of tall buildings called skyscrapers that you can see from far away. Some of these buildings have offices where people work and some are apartment buildings where people live.

Chicago is famous for lots of things! They have a really tall building called the Willis Tower, which used to be called the Sears Tower. It's so big that you have to go up lots of stairs or take an elevator to the top. When you get to the top, you can see for miles and miles because the city is flat.

Chicago is also famous for its food. They have a special kind of pizza called "deep dish" pizza that's thicker than other pizzas and has lots of cheese and toppings. People come from all over the world to eat Chicago-style pizza. They also have a famous sandwich called an "Italian beef," which is made with thin slices of meat and special sauce.

Another thing that makes Chicago special is its sports teams. They have a baseball team called the Cubs and a football team called the Bears. People love going to see these teams play and cheering them on.

Finally, Chicago has lots of museums and parks where you can learn and play. The Field Museum has lots of cool things like dinosaur bones and mummies. The Lincoln Park Zoo has lots of animals like lions and monkeys that you can see up close. And Millennium Park has a big shiny bean sculpture that you can take pictures with.
