Chicano nationalism

Chicano nationalism is a movement where people of Mexican American heritage work together to work for their rights, culture, and independence. It started in the 1960s when Latinos in the United States began to organize and stand up for their rights. They wanted to have more respect and be treated equally as other Americans. Chicano nationalists believe that they should have the right to celebrate their unique culture and also have access to the same rights and resources as other Americans. They work together to create social justice, defend their political and economic rights, and build a sense of community and pride among the Chicano people.
