Chiemgauer

Chiemgauer is kind of like special money that people use in a special place called Chiemgau. Just like how you use money to buy things at the store, people in Chiemgau use Chiemgauer to buy things from stores and shops in their area.

But here is the really cool part – Chiemgauer isn't like the regular money you use! Instead of being money printed by the government, it is made by a local organization. They make this money based on something called “participatory budgeting,” which means the people who live in Chiemgau get to vote on how the money is spent.

This means that the people who live in Chiemgau can choose to spend their Chiemgauer on things that are important to them, like supporting local farmers or helping to protect the environment. Plus, because they are choosing to use this special money in their area, it helps to boost the local economy too!
