Child Jesus images in Mexico

Okay kiddo, you know how people like to have pictures of their family and friends on their walls and in their homes? Well, in Mexico, some people like to have pictures of a special person named Jesus.

But not just any picture of Jesus, they like to have pictures of Jesus when he was a little baby, just like you! This is because they think it's really cute and special that Jesus was once a little baby just like them.

These pictures of baby Jesus are called "Niño Dios" in Spanish, which means "Child God." People in Mexico celebrate a special day called "Dia de la Candelaria" on February 2nd, and during this day, they bring their Niño Dios pictures to church to have them blessed.

Sometimes, people even dress up their Niño Dios pictures in fancy outfits, kind of like how you enjoy dressing up in costumes for Halloween. It's a way to show love and respect for Jesus, even when he was just a little baby.
