Child labor in the United States

Child labor in the United States is when kids under the age of 18 work and don't go to school. This is bad because kids need to stay in school to get the education they need to get good jobs when they grow up. The government tries to protect children from child labor by setting laws that say kids must go to school, and that they can't work if it is dangerous or too hard.
