Chilliwack City Council

Okay, so Chilliwack is a city in Canada, and like every city, it has a group of people who help make decisions for the city. This group is called the Chilliwack City Council. They are like a classroom monitor who helps the teacher (in this case, the mayor) take care of things and make sure everything is running smoothly.

Now, the Chilliwack City Council has a few important jobs. They help make rules, called bylaws, to keep everyone safe and happy. They also make decisions about things like building new parks, fixing roads, and making sure there is enough clean water for everyone.

The Chilliwack City Council is made up of elected officials called councillors. Councillors are like your classmates who are chosen to represent the school in special meetings. These councillors talk to people in the city, listen to their ideas and concerns, and bring that information to the council meetings.

During council meetings, the councillors get together to talk about issues and make decisions. People in the community can go to these meetings, share their opinions, and ask questions. It's like a big discussion with lots of people trying to figure out what's best for the city.

So basically, the Chilliwack City Council is a group of people who work together to make sure the city runs smoothly and everyone is happy. It's like a big team that wants to make Chilliwack the best city it can be!
