ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

China Compulsory Certificate

Hi there! So, China is a country with lots of special rules and regulations, just like your classroom or your home might have rules you have to follow. One of the rules that China has is something called the China Compulsory Certificate, or CCC for short.

This CCC is like a permission slip you have to get before you can bring certain things into China or sell them there. It's kind of like your school permission slip for a field trip - you can't go on the trip without it, and you can't bring certain products into China or sell them there without the CCC.

Some of the things that need the CCC might include things like electronic devices, toys, and electrical appliances. This is because China wants to make sure that the things being sold and used in their country are safe for people to use.

So, companies that want to sell these kinds of things in China have to follow special rules and get special approval from the Chinese government to make sure they are safe. That's where the CCC comes in - once a company has followed all the rules and gotten their CCC, they can start selling their products in China.

Does that help explain the CCC? Remember, it's just like a permission slip that companies need before they can sell certain things in China - kind of like how you need a permission slip before you can go on a school trip.
