ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

China–European Union relations

China and the European Union (EU) are like two big friends who like to work together and trade things with each other.

China is a country far away to the east and the European Union is a group of countries that are close to each other in Europe. They are very different from each other, but they still like to be friends and do business together.

Just like you might trade your toys with your friend at school, China trades things like toys, clothes, and electronics with the countries in the EU. On the other hand, the EU trades things like cars, luxury goods, and food with China.

But sometimes, friends have disagreements. China and the EU sometimes argue about things like human rights, trade policies, or the environment. Just like you might have a fight with your friend over which game to play or who gets to be the teacher in a game.

Despite these disagreements, China and the EU try to get along and work out their problems because they know that they are stronger together than apart. They want to keep being good friends and trading partners for a long time to come!
