Chinese information operations and information warfare

Chinese information operations and information warfare are ways that China's government and leaders try to influence the way people think and what they believe. China does this by spreading information and messages through the internet, the media, and by trying to control how news and other information is shared. They use this information to create a certain picture of China and its leaders in other countries so that people see them in a more favorable or positive way. This can often include using false or misleading information to make it appear that China is either doing better than it really is or that its leaders are better than they actually are.
