Chinook wind

Chinook winds are strong, warm winds that blow in the mountains. They often happen in winter and spring when cold, dry air from the north meets warm, moist air from the south. The warm air rises over the cold air, and creates winds that can be very strong. Chinook winds can make temperatures warm up very quickly in the winter.
