ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Christian anti-Judaism

Okay, kiddo, so you know how there are different religions in the world, like Christianity and Judaism? Well, a long time ago, some Christians didn't like Jewish people very much, and they started to say mean things about them and treat them badly. This is called "Christian anti-Judaism."

They believed that Jewish people were bad because they didn't believe in Jesus in the same way that Christians did. They also blamed Jewish people for things that went wrong, like when bad things happened in their communities.

But here's the thing, sweetie. Jesus himself was Jewish! He was born and raised in a Jewish family and followed Jewish customs and traditions. So, it doesn't make sense for Christians to be anti-Jewish when Jesus himself was Jewish.

It's important to remember that being different is okay and that we should treat others the way we would want to be treated. Just because someone has a different belief or tradition doesn't make them bad or wrong. We should all try to love and respect each other, no matter what.
